Seminar & Webinar agenda - 12 and 14 April 2022

1. Limiting the amount of Inheritance Tax payable by loved ones remains more important than ever as property prices increase and the government freezes tax allowances. Katy will give an insight into the strategies available to reduce tax bills and will also discuss how to use charitable trusts to leave a lasting legacy and allow your loved ones to work with charities that are close to your heart.

2. Having an up-to-date Will and Lasting Power of Attorney form the core of estate planning so we will talk through how to do this and the pitfalls to avoid.

3. The geopolitical landscape continues to be impacted by significant shocks so our guest speaker Chris Justham from Seven Investment Management (7IM) will give a fascinating insight into how this is playing out in world stock markets and the impact it is having on savings and investment.

4. Creating an investment strategy can be a complex area so Ian will unravel the complexities in an easy to understand way and explain how our approach works and why we think it's good for clients. We will also touch on the environmental, social and governance aspects dominating the world of investment.

We aim to complete all of these sessions in approximately 1 hour which will leave plenty of time for questions and answers to a whole range of areas that maybe of interest.

Our guest speaker Chris Justham maybe known to many people due to his numerous media performances.

Prior to joining 7IM in 2012, he worked as a wealth manager for four years, advising a portfolio of high net worth individuals and trusts. Chris' background was originally in FX broking, managing currency exposure for corporate clients.

Chris also regularly features on the television and radio - interviews and appearances on LBC, ITV, BBC News, Talk Radio, Bloomberg and Reuters, (among others!), have seen him discuss everything from Brexit with Nigel Farage, to what to do with investments during the depths of COVID with Martin Lewis.

His experience in investment and financial planning alongside an accomplished broadcasting career enable him to articulate technical aspects of investment markets and their impact on individuals in an easy to understand manner.
